As much as I plan ahead, I realize that you never know what the future holds. This past summer I was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. Because of my aggressive treatments, I took a year's leave of absence. During this time I have become familiar with FaceBook..my window to the world! If it weren't for reconnecting with friends I would still be wondering, 'what's a blog anyway?' To give you a little background information...I graduated from Berry College in 1988 with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and immediately started teaching Kindergarten. After teaching for two years, I took off to stay home with my boys. In 1998 I started teaching Kindergarten once again! This year I will begin my fourteenth year! In 2007 I completed my National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist, and my Masters in ECE in 2008. I knew I was called to be a teacher from an early age. Throughout my life the Lord has sent me so many gracious, giving mentors. This blog is an attempt to simply pass it on! I am finished with all treatments, have been given an "all clear" and will resume teaching in the fall. I'm anxious to get back to the craziness.. hope my energy level will cooperate!!
The men in my life...
I am the proud mom of a recent high school graduate!
